We have all been to blogs where people have advertised their blogs in the comments in posts such as: Cool I'm FollowingI am a little annoyed with this so here are a few ways to promote your blog without being a cancer to the blogs you follow:
You should follow me: mysitekicksass.blogspot.com
- Reddit: If you don't know about it then you have not been on the internet long enough.
- Social Networking Sites: Facebook, Twitter, Myspace (Does anyone use this anymore) etc are great for advertising yourself. Provide a link a day and you should see your views climb.
- Comment on Others Blogs: You don't need to write "Here's my blog: ..." Just say something cool. If people click your name a linnk to your site will appear.
- Forums: Post a link to your blog on forum sigs or just on the forum itself.
- Advertise: This costs money (Duh!) but can be worth it if the people you get to look at your site keep coming back.
- Backlinks: Sitse such as Triond, Bukisa and more allow you to write articles for them. They don't like self promotion but you can still put links to your site as long as you arn't excessive.
- Share This: This widget allows you to share a blog post. It contains plenty of ways to make your site known.
- del.icio.us: This site (though I believe Yahoo is canceling it) is a great way to share bookmarks to sites.
- Other: This is the internet. Their are easily a few thousand places to post links to your blog.
